“Yellow Jackets” are the wonderful folks who help West Coast School instructors in the classroom! They jump in with everything from setting up and tearing down lighting and posing sets, to helping students with equipment and software. They also make sure the classroom is fully stocked with supplies and water, and share morning announcements about fun outside activities like raffles, dinners, and night shoots.
Yellow Jackets are experienced classroom assistants who know the subject matter well and have previously attended West Coast School, so they are ready to help students throughout the week. In exchange for their hard work, they attend the school tuition-free, though they are responsible for their own on-site lodging.
